Deathtament: Shin Megami Tensei: DSJ Another Report, stylized as DEATHTAMENT -Shin Megami Tensei DSJ Another Report-, is a manga written and illustrated by Yasuo Kanou based on Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux.[a] It narrates what happened to the missing ship, the Gigantic, and its crew, which is absent for most of the story in the original game.
The Gigantic is heading in to investigate the Schwarzwelt along with the other three ships, the Red Sprite, the Blue Jet, and the Elve. The captain of Gigantic, Zena, is introducing herself to her crew and explaining the mission, alongside the ship's AI companion Isaac. On the ship's deck, the crew is strapped to a wall for safety. They are talking to each other during the debriefing, with one man asking another if he's Japanese. The men introduce themselves to each other, with the first one being Ash. The other is Jin, who affirms Ash by saying he's Japanese, and insultingly calls him an "American". The ship then begins to malfunction, and they begin to crash, with Isaac issuing an emergency landing. Passing out, Jin witnesses a vision of a woman with blonde hair, but is woken up by his crewmates. They try to joke about the situation, but it is time to go outside of their ship and explore their surroundings. They go outside and observe growths on the ceiling they presume are plants. Soon they get odd messages on their Demonicas from an odd program, and the team gets into a defensive formation. Upon turning around, the witness their commander Aaron be decapitated. Trying to figure out how he could've possibly been killed, they look up to see their first Demon, Gurr.
