Yoko Hiromine is a character in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. She is a 3rd year student at St. Marina Academy.
Profile
Yoko Hiromine is a student at St. Marina Academy, a girls' school. She has long possessed mysterious powers and has been called a "saint". Her powers were recognized at the academy, and she learned exorcism magic.[2]
Due to the abuse she has suffered in her past, Yoko is a deeply cynical and distrustful person. She is inherently skeptical of figures and systems of authority, believe that they are set up to be exploited and perpetuate cycles of abuse, and believes in the strength of the individual and expects that the only person she can rely on is herself, and often espouses this belief to those around her. However after working alongside the Nahobino and Tao Isonokami her perspective begins to soften as she exposed to their compassion and selflessness and finds herself trusting them despite her grievances, something that causes her significant discomfort due to how unexpected this shift in perspective is and how vulnerable it makes her feel.
Gameplay
In the Canon of Vengeance, Yoko automatically joins the party as a Guest at certain points in the story. If the Nahobino is Chaos-aligned when reaching the Empyrean's Throne Room, or if he is Neutral and chooses to side with her, Yoko joins the party in her Goddess form and she may be summoned from the Demon Compendium on a New Game+.

Shinjuku: A female student encountered in a strange and devastated world. Wears the uniform of a different school. She offered to accompany Tao on her way to a new region of Da'at.
Taito: Awoke as a goddess when the Tokyo Conception took place, but was sealed in Shakan by the Creator, who did not want to give up His throne.
Yoko Hiromine, whose power was unsealed by Lilith of the Qadištu, was restored to her goddess form. Those who have awakened as goddesses often struggle to retain mortal perspective and values. Yoko, however, remains relatively human in her perspective due to her time in a normal human state while her powers were sealed.

Yoko was a high school student 18 years prior to the events of the game, having been trained at Saint Marina's School as a demon exorcist. Her natural talent and power as a Saint
made her teachers resent her for surpassing them, resulting in her being sent on increasingly dangerous missions in an attempt to kill her. Ultimately she awoke to her power as a Goddess of Creation, heralding the end of the Creator's rule. In an attempt to stave off his fall, the Creator sealed Yoko away in Shakan and used her power as a goddess to fuel the Shekinah Glory and recreate Tokyo after it was destroyed in the Conception. Even after the Creator was killed by Lucifer Yoko remained sealed away, leading to her hatred and desire for revenge to fester as she remained isolated and imprisoned for years. Should the protagonist choose to take her hand, Yoko is able to escape her imprisonment and ally with the Qadištu, leading to the Canon of Vengeance storyline. If the protagonist refuses to take her hand, Yoko remains imprisoned and the Canon of Creation continues.
With the assistance of the Qadištu and their allies, Yoko was able to conceal her identity from Bethel and past through forged documents and manipulating the Bethel staff member that performed her background check.[3]
Trivia
- Her outfit's colors and red ribbon hold hidden meaning recognizable to die-hard fans of the series.[4]
- Her red ribbon symbolizes Chaos. It contrasts with Tao Isonokami's light blue jacket.[5]
