Two starter decks accompanied the release of Byakusei no Monshou, which were titled White Legend: Angel Side and White Legend: Devil Side. The decks came with 40 cards each, with both containing a manual, a playmat, dice, damage counters, and negotiation markers. The starter decks also contained a short comic explaining the rules of the game. The Angel Side was described as a deck for players who enjoy complicated and thoughtful play, while the Devil Side was described as a deck for players who like to overwhelm the opponent with incredible power. Each deck also contained two unique cards, with FW-001 Lucifer and FW-013 Death Phoenix in the Devil Side deck, and FW-002 Uriel and FW-012 Death Chimera in the Angel Side deck. Both decks released simultaneously on November 15th, 2001, and retailed for ¥1000 each.
