Shadow Rise is the Shadow of Rise Kujikawa which manifests after she is thrown into the TV World. From the beginning, Rise's dungeon was meant to be a strip club, and so her Shadow was designed as a pole dancer to portray her desire to be seen.[1]
On June 23rd, a version of Rise appears on the Midnight Channel after she is thrown into the TV World and her suppressed emotions resonates with the other side. This version of Rise tells her viewers that as of spring, she has officially become a high school girl idol, and to commemorate, she is going to strip. Even though it's not acceptable for a high school girl to strip, she wants to go all out and take it all off.
The Investigation Team finds Rise and her Shadow born from her suppressed emotions in Marukyu Striptease. Her Shadow does not wish to play the role of some cliche, and claims that Risette does not exist. Determined to prove that she is the real Rise, Shadow Rise perverts Rise's desire to be seen for who she is into stripping, and she says she will take it all off. This causes Rise to reject her Shadow and it transforms into a stripper with an antenna. The Investigation Team are unable to defeat it, but Teddie suddenly develops an explosive power and is able to take out Shadow Rise by himself. After, Rise apologizes to her Shadow. She was trying to figure out which one of her faces was her "real self", but she now realizes that was the wrong way to go about looking. There is no "real self"; Rise, her Shadow, and even her idol personality Risette all makeup who she is. After this, Rise accepts her Shadow, and it becomes her Persona, Himiko.
Hearing that there is no "real self" causes Teddie to start thinking about his own existence, leading to the birth of Shadow Teddie.
