Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner

Yamashiro has sealed the soul of Kumiko Hatano in the Pseudo-Astral World as part of Sid Davis's plan to break the seal of Inaruna. While the Protagonist and Rei Reiho were occupied fighting Yamashiro at the New City Hall, Sid escaped into the portal to the Pseudo-Astral World. The Protagonist follows by himself and meets with the soul of Kyouji Kuzunoha, who reveals his soul was sealed there by Sid Davis and that he escaped by entering the body of Takashi. As Sid is in the Pseudo-Astral World, Kyouji has temporarily left the body of Takashi in order to get revenge. Kyouji joins forces with the Protagonist for the remainder of the dungeon.

When the Protagonist and Kyouji catch up with Sid, Sid attacks them. After Sid is defeated, he leaves, and the Protagonist is able to speak with Kumiko's soul. Kumiko finds out the true identity of the Protagonist, and tells him that the book Sid is looking for is in her coin locker at Yarai-Ginza. However, Sid calls her back to her body, and just before her soul fades, she says her locker number is her birthday. After this, Kyouji reveals that he plans to take his body back from the Protagonist and sends the Protagonist to Avici Hell.
