Sid Davis is the main antagonist of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner.

Profile

Sid Davis is a Black American,[3] possibly born in Haiti.[4]

Sid's summoning abilities were not taught to him by the Phantom Society, and while he works as an agent on their behalf, he is not a member. The Bible he holds is actually a handheld computer, and while it uses older technology compared to Kyouji Kuzunoha's Handy Computer, Sid's summoning is just as powerful. On his upper body, Sid has tattoos of a Pentagram and the word Tetragrammaton on his chest, and Hebrew letters and symbols of some of the seventy-two demons of Solomon on his arms; these act as a talisman to prevent him from summoning demons that are too powerful. Along with his summoning abilities, Sid has mastered the martial art of capoeira in Brazil.[4]

Sid Davis is not a real priest, and his priest-like clothing is merely a fashion choice.[4] According to Kazuma Kaneko, Sid Davis was designed to look like a priest as a result of him thinking that a Bible would be an interesting and distinct choice of an alternatively-shaped COMP.[5]

シド・デイビスは、デビルサマナーである。悪魔を召喚し使いこなす能力を持っているが、悪魔退治を裏稼業とする葛葉キヨウジと異なり、謎の「組織」のエージェントとして暗躍し、事件のある所にその姿を現す。

一見神父の様な格好をしているが、もちろん神の教えを説くような輩ではない。手にした聖書型のハンドヘルドコンピュー夕で悪魔を召喚する。

Sid Davis. A black man who is a Devil Summoner and an agent for a mysterious organization.

Sid Davis is a Devil Summoner. He has the ability to summon and control demons, but unlike Kyouji Kuzunoha's own job of demon extermination, Sid operates behind the scenes as an agent for a mysterious organization, appearing wherever an incident occurs.

While he may look like a priest, he is certainly not the kind of person who would preach God's teachings. In his hand is a Bible-shaped handheld computer that summons demons.

魔術によって極限までパンプアップした肉体は、恐るべき攻撃力と魔力を秘めている。

Sid Davis's combat state. Usually fighting by summoning demons, this is his true fighting appearance. His combat power is incalculable.

Sid Davis's character is that of one who loves to bully the weak, and he feels the greatest joy when persistently toying with and killing those who can offer no resistance.

Calling upon demons stronger than his foes, he loves to watch as he has his demons kill them. However, when the protagonist's own demon allies are too much to handle, he finally decides to fight himself.

Using magic, his body has been pumped up to its limit, concealing within itself dreadful attack power and magic power.
