Design

Patriot appears as a man dressed in black and blue tactical gear, wearing a balaclava, gloves and a grenade-carrying vest, with a USA flag tied around his torso. A dagger is stuck in his head, which is partially missing. He holds a scoped assault rifle in his right hand and a pistol in his left. His right eye and left arm are marked with red stripes, likely blood.

• Despite wearing an American flag around their torso, Patriot's dialogue in Shin Megami Tensei IV indicates that they are a Japanese nationalist rather than an American nationalist.

Nomenclature

Earlier official profiles mention the Patriot missile system developed by the United States and used in the Gulf War, so this may be the demon's namesake (at least in part).
