Game Appearances

Shin Megami Tensei

Ozawa is the leader of a gang called Turtle-Head. They can be found loitering in a room in the Shopping Arcade. After the Hero and Law Hero escape from the Hospital, they find Ozawa's gang assaulting a young man who turns out to be the Chaos Hero, who develops a vendetta against him. Ozawa insults him but leaves with his gang when the Hero and Law Hero attempt to intervene.

The party later finds out Ozawa and his gang are working for Gotou and are gathering up and imprisoning any woman with the same name as the leader of the Resistance. After the Heroine is kidnapped, Ozawa can be found in the Shinjuku West Building where he will admit that he does not care about the resistance leader or Gotou; he is simply after Gotou's power. He then summons a demon to distract the party while he escapes.

After the Great Cataclysm, Ozawa survives and uses his demon-summoning abilities to defeat the local yakuza and take over the Shinjuku Underground, which he then turns into a totalitarian police state he rules with an iron fist. When the party returns to Tokyo 30 years later and confronts him once again, he is an old man and does not recognize them. Nonetheless, he summons a demon that overwhelms the group and forces them to retreat. To overcome the demon's power, Chaos Hero fuses with one of the Hero's demons and the party returns to Ozawa, who orders his demon to capture them so he can have his Soul Diver brainwash them into obedience, though his demon is defeated this time. Fully defenseless now, Ozawa pleads for his life, but regardless of what the Hero chooses, Chaos Hero takes his revenge and kills him.

End of spoilers.

Shin Megami Tensei II

The spirit of Ozawa can be found at Chesed Temple in the Makai, lamenting his defeat at the hands of the Hero and how his underlings have ostracized him.
