The Heroine is a playable character in Shin Megami Tensei. She is the leader of the Resistance movement opposing the conflict between Gotou and Ambassador Thorman, believing that either one in power would lead to Tokyo's demise.

The Heroine does not have a default name in-game. During development of Shin Megami Tensei, she was called Futsuko among the game's staff.[1]

Gameplay

Shin Megami Tensei

Like the Hero, the Heroine initially begins with 5 points in each of her six main stats, with an additional 18 stat points for the player to invest into any stat of their choosing. The Heroine's stats are customized immediately after she is named when the party meet her during the Hero's second dream. She later joins the Hero's party in the Shinjuku Underground after the events at the Government Office.

The Heroine learns magic skills based on her current level, Intelligence, and Magic when calculated upon leveling up. The equated numerical value determines which skill is learned. This formula is calculated as:

Nomenclature

The Heroine's developmental name, Futsuko, may be a pun on 普通 futsū, meaning "normal" or "neutral."
