Amagi Inn
The Amagi Inn is a location in Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden.
Profile
The Amagi Inn is a traditional Japanese-style inn with an outdoor hot springs bath that alternates usage between men and women. It is located in a hot spring and inn district halfway up the Yasogami Hills,[1] and accessible by a bus from the Central Shopping District.[2] The inn has 30 rooms, over half of which are in a detached building.[2] It is considered a major tourist destination in Inaba[3] and has been featured as a hidden gem multiple times in magazines.[2] The inn doubles as the family home of Yukiko Amagi[4] and is managed by Yukiko's mother while her father does the office-related work.[5] Traditionally, a family inn operated out of the family home passes from mother to daughter, and the people of Inaba assume Yukiko will inherit it one day.[6] The inn uses local products, such as buying dyed souvenirs for guests in bulk from Tatsumi Textiles[7][8] and previously getting their tofu from Marukyu Tofu.[9] One of the employees is Kasai, who is friendly with Yukiko.
Game Appearances
Persona 3 Portable
The female protagonist and her sports club go to Inaba for joint practice at Yasogami High School. They stay at the Amagi Inn from August 1st to August 2nd and meet Yukiko.
Persona 4
At the beginning of Persona 4, the protagonist hears about the Amagi Inn from Chie Satonaka. Bringing it up embarrasses Yukiko, the daughter of the owners who people around Inaba expect to inherit the inn one day. The Amagi Inn is mentioned on the news and the protagonist sees Yukiko being interviewed on TV on the evening of April 15th. Mayumi Yamano was staying at the inn and reportedly said some harsh things to the manager, Yukiko's mother, resulting in Yukiko temporarily taking over the inn. On April 30th, Yukiko mentions that her mother is back to work. The inn has less visitors during the fall season.[10] Due to this, on October 30th, the Investigation Team plus Nanako Dojima are able to stay overnight after the culture festival. The boys realize that they are staying in Mayumi Yamano's room when they notice the large amount of talismans on the wall. In order to get revenge, they try to sneak into the girls room, but instead go into Hanako Ohtani and Noriko Kashiwagi's room. Yukiko tells the girls that Hanako and Ms. Kashiwagi often come together to stay at the inn whenever they feel sad. When the protagonist goes to tell everyone goodbye on March 20th, he visits the Amagi Inn via the bus in the shopping district and speaks with Yukiko in the lobby.
The Amagi Inn is a major topic in Yukiko's Social Link. Yukiko's troubles come from how other people in Inaba, such as Chie, say she will inherit the inn when she gets older, making her feel as though she as no say in the matter. After encountering her Shadow in the TV World, Yukiko realizes that she can still decide for herself. She expresses a desire to be independent, leave Inaba, and not inherit the inn. When a reporter tries to run a hit piece on the Amagi Inn and suggests turning it into a brothel, Yukiko tells him off. She later confides in the protagonist that she has decided to inherit the inn as it is quite important to her.

On December 5th, Yukiko finds it unbelievable that Tohru Adachi could be the murderer as he showed up at the Amagi Inn and claimed to be there to protect Mayumi Yamano from the media. Hearing that Adachi showed up to protect Mayumi is shocking news to Naoto and it is unknown if Adachi was lying to the inn's staff or not. Shortly after, the Investigation Team corners Adachi. In the TV World, he tells them about his encounter with Mayumi at the Amagi Inn. In a flashback, Adachi is shown having summoned Mayumi to the inn's lobby to ask her about her affair with Taro Namatame. After Mayumi refuses to answer him, he pushes her into the large screen TV in the lobby, not knowing her whole body could go in.
Persona 4 Arena
In the beginning of Yukiko's story mode, she is learning how to cook in the inn's kitchen. She remarks in her narration that the inn is not very special, but more like the only attraction in a rural city like Inaba.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
In Yukiko's epilogue, she is working at the Amagi Inn during dinner service when a couple of male customers bother her.
