Profile

Tatsumi Textiles is a textile and fabric store currently run by Kanji Tatsumi's mother. It is also their family home. The shop has been around since the Meiji period when people in Inaba began dyeing textiles using the clean streams of the Samegawa. The previous owner was Kanji's father, who died in an accident and was said to have been known throughout the country as a famous dyer.[1] Yukiko Amagi and her family are acquaintances of the Tatsumi family, and they buy fabrics from Tatsumi Textiles that are used as dyed souvenirs for guests of the Amagi Inn.[2]

Game Appearances

Persona 4

The store is visited during the story on May 16th. After the Investigation Team sees a figure resembling Kanji on the Midnight Channel, they pay a visit to his family's store to ask about him. When the group arrives, Naoto Shirogane is on the way out, having also been asking Kanji's mother about her son. Before Yukiko can ask about Kanji, Chie Satonaka spots a red scarf that reminds her and Yosuke Hanamura of the noose they saw in the Desolate Bedroom. Kanji's mother explains that Mayumi Yamano had ordered a matching pair of scarves for a man and a woman, but in the end, she only purchased the woman's scarf, and now the store is selling the man's scarf.

During Kanji's Emperor Social Link, he begins knitting dolls and tells his mother that she can sell them in the family store.
