Adramelech is taken from Jacques Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal, where he is mentioned as the grand chancellor of hell, intendant of the wardrobe of the sovereign of demons, and president of the high council of devils.[1] His name is taken from Adrammelech, a deity of the people of the city of Sepharvaim, who is mentioned in the Bible (2 Kings 17:31) as having children sacrificed to him.
Design
Adramelech's appearance is inspired by Louis Le Breton's illustration of Adramelech in Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal: A bipedal demon with a mule's head, a human torso, and the feet and tailfeathers of a peacock. His body is brown with flecks of gold glitter, while his feet and nose are white. The talons of his feet are red. He wears a green, scaly garment over his groin, and the sides of his legs are colored blue and orange. He wears gold bands over his biceps and wrists, and carries a golden branding iron in his left hand.
