Zada is a character in "Dog Days".
Profile
Zada is a Normal[a] woman belonging to the Casuals tribe, who attempted to lead a rebellion against the occupying Embryon following the dissolution of their parent tribe, the Vanguards. In contrast, her registered battle statistics are not considered high, and she displays a strong fear of being devoured when confronted by the Embryon.
Zada has a small build, with large eyes, a pointed chin and protruded cheekbones. Her shoulder-length hair is curly and yellow, and to the left of her nape is her Atma brand: multiple concentric circles with notches resembling fangs. Her Atma is Arachne.

"Dog Days"
Following Harley's death, the Embryon gain control of the Vanguards and Svadhisthana, though their low numbers make this an inefficient process. Embryon scouts find the Casuals tribe, who were plotting to lead a rebellion against the Embryon, though Zada, the leader of the rebellion, is captured. When pressed, Zada expresses a strong fear of being devoured and tries to negotiate an alliance if she is spared. Having no intentions of attacking Zada, Serph decides to keep her confined until she voluntarily surrenders. Heat, however, wants to kill her immediately, as she has already shown that she is willing to oppose the Embryon. He is stopped by Serph, and Zada is left for Argilla to handle. Zada is held in isolation under heavy monitoring in a warehouse.
Not long after, Zada uses her Arachne Atma to control the guards watching her, as she developed a Rare Talent after devouring the other Casuals. This talent allows her to produce several small spiders, which can control their victims once attached to their necks, then uses her victims to stage a rebellion against the Embryon. Heat and Gale stop the spiders heading to the main Embryon base, while Cielo leaves to call for Serph. Serph speculates that Zada's true goal was to gain control of Muladhara and Svadhisthana in one move.
Zada, having gained power from feeding, is now massive and displays a more hostile and sadistic personality, confirming to Serph that she had been lying all along. She instructs her subordinates to capture the Embryon to eat them, also spitting large acidic threads. As killing their Embryon comrades would drastically lower the tribe's capabilities, Serph decides to have Dyaus cast lightning upon the whole battlefield to paralyze everyone, then have Vayu use his wind to push them away, opening a path for Varuna and Agni to attack Zada. The plan initially succeeds, though Serph and Heat are also affected by the lightning. They improvise, having Agni throw Serph into the air and drill himself into Arachne with Varuna's blades, then freeze her completely from the inside. The attack is successful, and Heat finishes off Zada when they learn that she was still barely alive. Heat leaves, then Gale, Cielo and Serph stay behind to devour her remains after the ice melts.
