The Wild Card is a concept in the Persona series introduced in Persona 3. It is the ability to turn bonds into power granted by the signing of a contract and is often associated with the Fool Arcana. This power allows its user to hold multiple Personas within them and switch between them at will during battle, as well as have access to the Velvet Room and its services.
Description
An individual is granted the power of the Wild Card upon entering into a contract, either by literally signing a contract or awakening to their potential. Starting with Persona 3, most Persona users are limited to a single Persona that may change or evolve. Wild Cards, however, are able to use multiple Personas. These individuals are typically of the Fool Arcana, in which the Arcana symbolism means they are able to obtain multiple Personas of any Arcana. Wild Cards also gain the ability to access the Velvet Room, where they are assisted by Igor and his assistants.
Additionally, Wild Cards can form bonds with individuals in their life that often have a corresponding Arcana. These bonds can directly influence the power of the individual as the Wild Card converts bonds into strength, most notably by empowering Personas created via Fusion. This strength can become so powerful that Wild Cards are able to perform god-like feats.
Gameplay
The Wild Card allows the player to obtain and switch between different Personas once every turn, allowing the player to switch between different stats, resistances and skills. The player can use this to their advantage to formulate tactical decisions and decide the flow of battle. The Personas in the player's possession can be used in fusions and more, and can be summoned from the Compendium in the Velvet Room.
Outside of battle, when engaging with Social Links, the player will gain additional points if they have a Persona of the corresponding Arcana in their stock. Fusions will also be empowered, granting fused Personas additional experience corresponding to the Social Link's rank. Additionally, maxing a Social Link grants the player the ability to create the highest-level Persona of its Arcana.

Persona 3

In Persona 3, the protagonist (Makoto Yuki, or Kotone Shiomi in Portable) holds the power of the Wild Card. Uniquely, they have the ability to combine the power of two Personas to cast a Fusion Spell and they sign their contract with Pharos, who has no connection to the Velvet Room.
The Answer
Aigis inherits the protagonist's Wild Card ability during The Answer, which causes Athena to transform into Orpheus during her initial fight against Metis. However, due to the circumstances of The Answer, Aigis cannot form or benefit from Social Links and, in Persona 3 FES, she is also unable to use Fusion Spells.
Persona 4

In Persona 4, Yu Narukami holds the Wild Card. Unlike his predecessors, he has no unique abilities, though he was able to enter the Velvet Room in his dreams without having signed a contract. His awakening would complete his contract, allowing him to enter the Velvet Room normally.
Persona 5

In Persona 5, Ren Amamiya and Goro Akechi hold the Wild Card. While Amamiya uses it in full, Akechi cannot access the Velvet Room and only holds two Personas corresponding to his "faces" - Robin Hood as the facade and Loki as the truth behind it - due to his unwillingness to form bonds with others, limiting his potential.
Similarly to Narukami, Amamiya also enters the Velvet Room without a contract or having awakened to his Persona, though it can be assumed that this is due to Yaldabaoth's interference.

In Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, it is shown that Sho Minazuki could have entered into a contract with the Velvet Room and gained the Wild Card, though he refused to do so.
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

In Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, S.E.E.S. and the Investigation Team are unwillingly transported to a realm created by Zen. Due to its finite nature, Yuki and Narukami cannot use the Wild Card as they're used to, but the presence of both instead allows for every Persona-user to use a fraction of its power, allowing for the use of Sub-Personas. Furthermore, after the Power of the Wild Card request is completed, every Persona-user can evolve their Persona upon reaching level 55.

In Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, the Phantom Thieves, the Investigation Team, S.E.E.S. and Kotone Shiomi are unwillingly transported to the Theater District, a realm with similar properties as the previous game's, allowing all Persona-users to use Sub-Personas and evolve their Main Personas. They can also make use of the power of the bonds between themselves to learn and execute Unison Attacks.
Persona 5 Strikers

Ren Amamiya is the sole Wild Card in Persona 5 Strikers, though the social gameplay systems present in the main Persona games are absent in Strikers, so Amamiya cannot form Confidants.
