Vishnu is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Vishnu is the god of preservation in Hinduism, and one of the Trimurti along with Shiva and Brahma. In the Vaishnavite tradition, Vishnu is believed to be the Supreme Being. A notable avatar of Vishnu is Krishna.

In the Rigveda, Vishnu is a deity associated with light, and is stated to have performed three strides (trivikrama).

Design

While named Vishnu, Vishnu in Shin Megami Tensei is drawn as Krishna, who would later appear with this design in Shin Megami Tensei if....[1]

Vishnu's design in Megami Ibunroku Persona is based around the idea of "transforming" being similar to the use of Personas, thereby making Vishnu the "Persona King".[1]
