Origin

In folklore of the Roman world, a strix was thought to be an old woman who could fly (often in the form of an owl), could make herself invisible, and entered homes to suck the blood of infants. As part of the Roman world, the strix also appears in Greek sources, though it appears to have spread from the Latins rather than vice versa.

Kaneko Kazuma Dennō Akuma Zukan	夜になるとカラスに変身して、人間の生き血を求める吸血鬼。特に子供の血を好む。昼間は人間の姿をしており、魔女であるとも考えられていた。また、ストリゲスはフクロウに変身することもできたという説もある。 Translation:

Game Appearances

Shin Megami Tensei IV

A Strix is encountered in Kiccigiorgi Forest, being one of the villagers transformed into demons by the Black Samurai's literature. They despise the Luxurors and attack when they see the Samurai, who are part of the Luxuror class.

Afterwards, Strix appear as random encounters in Kasumigaseki. The Strix Blood they drop is needed for the Challenge Quest "Competition for Blood".

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner

Strix is encountered alongside Strigoii outside of Kumiko Hatano's house after the Otherworld surrounding it has dissipated. The duo are there on orders from Sid Davis to capture her, but recognize the protagonist and attack. Once defeated, they attempt to kidnap Kumiko, but are thwarted by Takashi.
