The Nintendo DS is a foldable handheld game console produced by Nintendo. The console was the successor to the Game Boy Advance and was released on November 21, 2004 in North America, December 2, 2004 in Japan and March 11, 2005 in Europe. Its main features were Touch Screen controls, one of the earliest pieces of popular consumer tech to feature them, and two screens one of which was the touch screen. Early games were more likely to have the action take place on the bottom touch screen and a status page or map on the top screen, later games flipped this.
The first Megami Tensei game released on the platform was Devil Survivor on January 15, 2009.
