The Family Computer (FC), commonly refered to as Famicom[a] in Japan and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) internationally,is a 8-bit third generation home video game console developed by Nintendo that was released on July 15, 1983 in Japan and October 18, 1985 in North America.
The first Megami Tensei game released on the platform was Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei on September 11, 1987.
