The Virtual Boy is a 32-bit portable game console developed by Nintendo and released in 1995. It was a pair of goggles attached to an easel, with a controller built in. The screen was inside the goggles and the player would put on the goggles to play the game. It featured a red monochrome screen and early stereoscopic 3D effects, a year before the Nintendo 64 launch. It was a major commercial failure with only 22 games produced. The red monochrome close to the eye gave many players eye pain, headaches and nausea.
The only Megami Tensei game released on the platform was Jack Bros. on September 29, 1995, one of the most well regarded games on the system.
