A Tzitzimitl in Aztec culture is a deity of a star, oft depicted as female demons or skeletons. They caused solar eclipses, during which they would possess men, and required a live sacrifice in order to stop.
They are also the deities of fertility, worshipped by woman so they would give birth to healthy children.
Design
Tzitzimitl appears as a woman cloaked in a red dress whose sleeves extend to cover her full arms and hands. The dress parts at her torso, revealing a starry night sky on the inside. She has yellow skin on her face and her eyes are covered by a visor of sorts, and she has thirteen pale blue arms coming out of her scalp where her hair would otherwise be. These arms have two horizontal purple lines across the wrists, and the topmost hands each hold a different colored orb. In counterclockwise, these orbs are colored: light blue, dark blue, red, orange, blue, green, violet, and orange.
From Persona 4 onward, two of these hands are also depicted as holding pink orbs.
Goddess of Aztec myth who governs night and fear, she symbolizes death and evil. Her war with the sun god caused a catastrophic solar eclipse. She seeks a sacrifice every 52 years.
