X1
The X1[a] series, colloquially known as the Sharp X1, is a line of personal computers released by Sharp Corporation from 1982 until 1987.
Computers of the X1 series use 8-bit CPUs based on the Zilog Z80 processor. The original X1 line was succeeded by the X1 Turbo[b] line in 1984, which in turn was succeeded by the X1 Turbo Z[c] line in 1986; these models had enhanced graphical capabilities. The final model, the X1 Twin,[d] was released in 1987, which included an HE System (compatible with PC Engine software) in the housing along with an X1 personal computer. The X1 series as a whole was succeeded by the X68000 series in 1987.
The first and only Megami Tensei game released on the platform was Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, which released in August of 1987.
