Profile
Origin
The Palladium,[a] according to Greek tradition, was an image of Pallas Athena located in the city of Troy (Ilion), given by Athena herself to the city's founder Ilus. During the Trojan War, the city of Troy could not fall while the Palladium was there, so Odysseus and Diomedes stole the Palladium, allowing Troy to be captured. The Romans believed that it was taken to Rome and that an object in the Temple of Vesta was the original Palladium.
