Orgia Mode is a special recurring mechanic in the Persona series related to Aigis.

Profile

In Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, and Persona 3 Portable, Orgia Mode is a special mechanic exclusive to Aigis that can be activated from the Tactics menu. Upon activation, Aigis will act as if her tactics were set to Full Assault. She will also deal more damage and act twice per turn. After several turns pass, she will overheat, lowering her defense and skipping any actions for 3 turns.

In Persona 3 Reload, Orgia Mode[a] is instead a Theurgy Spell known by Aigis. It inflicts heavy Pierce-attribute damage on all foes, ignoring their affinities. It also prevents the player from giving her commands directly for a number of turns, though any other effects that occur during this period are unknown.

In Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Orgia Mode appears as a mechanic unique to Aigis, functioning similarly to an install as it increases Aigis' base capabilities for a limited time and unlocks new special moves. Orgia Mode can be activated and deactivated by using certain moves, but will be immediately deactivated should the meter above Aigis' SP bar be depleted, and Aigis will not be able to use Orgia Mode for a limited time. Under certain conditions, Aigis can activate Extreme Orgia Mode, which further increases her capabilities.

Trivia

  • A design proposal for the battle interface in Reload suggests that Orgia Mode was originally a separate mechanic from Theurgy before the two were merged.
