Origin
Mezuki (馬頭鬼, lit. "horse-headed ogre") is a Japanese name of the creature Horse-Face, one of the guardians of the underworld in East Asian Buddhism along with Ox-Head.
Design
Mezuki's artwork for Shin Megami Tensei features the character 鬼 on his clothing, which is one of the characters in his name. His Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon design replaces it with 馬 ("horse").

Manga Appearances
Mezuki appears alongside Gozuki as one of Raidou's Demons. The pair first appear in Chapter 1, where they are summoned in order to assist Raidou with dispatching a horde of Gremlins in the Dark Realm while on a speeding streetcar. After the trio are successful, Mezuki and Gozuki attempt to stop the streetcar by stabbing their weapons into the ground, bickering with each other about which of the two will succeed all the while. They fail to notice that they are close to falling off and are sent tumbling away from the car while Raidou and Gouto look on, perplexed.
