Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced edition of the 2016 role-playing game Persona 5, the sixth entry in the Persona series. It was developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 4 on October 31, 2019 in Japan, and subsequently worldwide in most other regions on March 31, 2020. In South Korea, the game released a month earlier on February 20, 2020. On October 21, 2022, Persona 5 Royal was re-released worldwide for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Persona 5 Royal features a number of quality of life improvements and new content additions, most notably the introduction of Kasumi Yoshizawa and Takuto Maruki as new characters as well as a new post-ending story scenario.

2022 Re-release
As apart of Persona's 25th Anniversary, Persona 5 Royal was remastered for modern consoles. On October 20th, 2022 worldwide, Persona 5 Royal was released on Windows for Steam and the Microsoft Store, and consoles for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox versions of the re-releases contained all downloadable content from both previous releases. The Steam and Microsoft Store versions also included other various improvements such as a higher frame rate cap and keyboard and mouse support.
