Dimension Variants are a concept in Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 that refers to additional versions of Demons that were already present in the game differentiated by their skills and design.

Profile

Dimensional Variants are Demons who have been summoned by the Summoning Portal from another dimension.

Gameplay

Under normal circumstances, Dimensional Variants can only be obtained through a Dimensional Summon banner. There are two general Dimensional Summon banners, the first containing Dimensional Variants released between February 2019 and April 2021 (excluding Lilith) and the second containing Dimensional Variants released between December 2021 and April 2023. The Dimensional Variants released afterwards are not included within these Dimension Summons and must be obtained through their own unique Summon banners.

Dimensional Variants are considered identical to the original Demon meaning that they cannot be used on the same team.

Some Demons are nominally considered Dimensional Variants, but are not available through either Dimensional Summons. Similarly, some demons are duplicates of preexisting demons, but are not considered Dimensional Variants, such as Masakado (Hero) and Masakado (Fury).
