Sytry is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Sytry is a spirit in European demonology first attested as Bitur, the 28th spirit in the Livre des esperitz, where he is said to be a great marquess who appears in the form of a handsome young man. He can grant the love of women, can destroy cities and castles, and can strip people of their great honors and dignities. He has 36 legions under his command.

Sytry is elaborated upon the 21st spirit in Johann Weyer's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, which draws from earlier sources. Sytry, also known as Bitru, is a great prince with the face of a leopard and wings of a griffin, and he appears beautiful when in human form. He can cause men to love women and women to love men, and he discloses women's secrets while laughing and mocking, so that they undress themselves lustfully. 60 legions are under his command.

In the Ars Goetia section of The Lesser Key of Solomon, which is heavily based on the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, Sitri is said to be the 12th spirit summoned by King Solomon of Israel.

Design

Sytry appears as a leopard with large yellow wings sprouting from its back. He has green eyes with round pupils.
