Overview

"I Wish I Was Better at Speaking" can be accepted after completing "I Wish My Life Had Meaning Again". This quest is part of the Hermit Social Link with the Fox. When the protagonist visits the Fox at Tatsuhime Shrine, it brings him an ema from a girl who says rude things when she is nervous and wishes she was better at speaking. The protagonist finds the awkward girl on the roof of Yasogami High School where she quickly snaps at him. Thanks to his Understanding, he is unphased by her words and she runs away from the roof shortly after. When he returns to the roof on another day, he gives the awkward girl speaking lessons. When he sees her again, she tried putting his lessons to use, but misspoke to a girl in her class and ended up insulting her. He then encourages her to apologize. The awkward girl agrees that is the right thing to do, and hopes to be able to have a normal conversation with her classmate after. Upon returning to the fox and reporting back what happened, the fox's bond with the protagonist deepens, and the Hermit Social Link increases to rank 7.
