"Multi-Demon Fusion" is a Challenge Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Overview

This quest is available from the Hunter Association in Shinjuku after the alignment lock, provided Serial Kidnapping + Arson has been completed first. On the Neutral route, it must be completed as part of The Great Spirit of Hope, but it is otherwise optional.

After taking an elevator to the top floor of one of the buildings in Ikebukuro's East Station, Flynn notices a group of hunters rapidly performing Fusions over and over, with the blank expressions on their faces indicating that they're being controlled by something else. If he chooses to call out to them, a demon declares that he won't let Flynn interfere, and attacks.

After Baphomet is defeated, Cernunnos appears. He's angry that Flynn is meddling in his plans again, but notes that he's too late, and tells Baphomet that it's time to fuse. Baphomet enters a smartphone, where another fusion occurs, then emerges as Pales. Cernunnos explains that they're resurrecting ancient gods to amass an army strong enough to take on God, and that humans can just shut up and be sacrifices like the good old days. A battle with both Pales and Cernunnos then ensues.

Once the duo are defeated, the hunters snap out of their trance. After Flynn explains what happene, one of them thanks Flynn for saving them, then all of them leave. With that, the quest is completed, and Cernunnos becomes available for fusion.
