Marchosias is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Marchosias is is the 56th spirit said to have been summoned by Solomon in the Ars Goetia section Lesser Key of Solomon.[1] In the earlier Pseudomonarchia Daemonum by Johann Weyer, Marchocias is instead numbered as the 31st spirit.[2]

Design

Marchosias's Shin Megami Tensei design resembles his description in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and Lesser Key of Solomon; however, his snake tail, while present in his in-game sprite, is absent in his official artwork.

Origin: Israel
One of the 72 demons of the Goetia. He is a Marquis of Hell. He appears as a fire-breathing, winged wolf or a female wolf with wings and snake tail. He sometimes takes a human form, appearing as a tall warrior who answers questions. He acts to aid his summoner in battle.
