Lakhe is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
The Lākhe is a kind of demon (rakshasa) from the folklore of the Newar people that is said to live in forests and hunt animals and passersby. Lākhes are notably featured in the dances of the Indra Jātrā festival in Kathmandu. According to tradition, a Lākhe in human disguise wooed and married a princess, but after people began to go missing, the Lākhe was discovered; upon this, the Lākhe swore to become a guardian deity of the people.[1] It is also the household deity of the Ranjitkar caste.[2]
