Bat is a recurring antagonist in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner. He is a member of the Maribel tribe.
Profile
Bat is the second-in-command of the Maribel, under Jinana's leadership. After awakening to his personality, he becomes a violent and cruel man who seeks to serve only the strongest tribe for his own benefit, having no qualms about breaking alliances and Junkyard law to do so.
Bat has long, purple hair that reaches to his shoulders. Surrounding his right eye, Bat has a red mark resembling a star, outlined in black, and he as a generally fit body type. Bat's Atma Brand is named Sonic Wave, and it is on his upper right arm. His Atma Avatar is Camazotz.

Bat is a recurring boss in the series. His Atma, Camazotz, is fought thrice in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner and once in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2.

Bat first appears at the end of the Embryon's first visit to Manipura in order to convince the Maribel to form an alliance against the Solids. The Embryon fight and defeat Bat, but Argilla protests against devouring him, convincing Jinana of the Embryon's good intentions. Bat, feeling the humiliation of defeat, awakens to his personality and tries to convince Jinana not to accept the alliance, but she does anyway. Believing the Embryon and Maribel are weak, Bat betrays their plan to the Solids, giving them the necessary information to attack Jinana and Manipura.
The Embryon return to Manipura, now sieged by the Solids, but are ambushed there by Bat, who reveals that he eavesdropped on Argilla's final words to Jinana and that the Solids were going to attack Muladhara to take Sera. He is defeated in battle again, but manages to escape.
Atop Coordinate 136, Mick the Slug and Bat hold Sera hostage on the condition that one of them betrays and kills Serph. Heat accepts the offer under the pretense of buying time to save Sera, but Sera herself manages to escape and jump off the roof before being caught by Bat, who reveals that his plan all along was to join the Brutes. Bat himself is shot by Cielo, who takes Sera and forces Bat to escape again.
The Embryon, seeking to finally defeat Bat, spread rumors of Sera's presence aboard the Deserted Ship, luring Bat and the Brutes to them and disguising Argilla as Sera to further the deception. Bat scouts the area and is confronted by Argilla, buying time for the Embryon to plant bombs on the ship, incapacitate Bat and explode the ship with him in it, killing him.
