Profile
The Maribel are one of the six tribes of the Junkyard, led by Jinana with Bat as second in command, operating from Manipura. Their dress is much more varied than with other tribes, having less of the body covered by the gray suit common to the tribes, revealing more of the black bodysuit and skin under it. The members also incorporate varied hairstyles and body art.

Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner
The Maribel are a moderately powerful tribe, mainly at a stalemate with the Solids. Following Angel's commandment, Gale devises a strategy to win control over both the Maribel and the Solids by allying the Embryon with the Maribel to invade the Solids' Citadel, then betraying them. The Embryon meet the Maribel at Manipura and propose their alliance, showing their strength in overcoming their forces and Bat, though it is ultimately Argilla's humanity that convinces Jinana to accept the alliance, despite Bat's protests.
The Embryon-Maribel alliance attacks Anahata, though Bat betrays them to the Solids, allowing the Solids to organize an attack on Manipura directly and Mick the Slug to personally overpower Jinana, who hadn't devoured anyone by then. Jinana then succumbs to her hunger and transforms into Usas to attack the Embryon, but is killed, giving the Embryon control over the Maribel.
