Baihu, also known as Byakko in some localizations,[a] is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

The Baihu (白虎), or White Tiger, is one of the Four Symbols, constellations that represent various things in Chinese culture. The Baihu represents the west, autumn, and metal.

Although many English compendium entries in the Megami Tensei franchise classify Baihu as a member of the Ssu-Ling (Simplified Chinese: 四灵four spirits, Traditional Chinese: 四靈four spirits, romanized Sìlíng), it is a member of the Ssu-Hsiang (Chinese: 四象four symbols, romanized Sìxiàng).

Design

Baihu is a white tiger with long locks of white fur on its face, chest, legs and tail tip. It typically appears with bright blue eyes, a visible spine and a long thin tail.
