Fate (Devil Survivor 2)
Fate is a mechanic in Devil Survivor 2. It represents the depth of the bond between the Protagonist and his companions.
Overview
Fate Viewer
The Fate Viewer is a function of the Demon Summoning App that records and assigns a rank to the level of intimacy between the Protagonist and the people he is close to.[1] In the Fate viewer, he can view the other characters' profiles, which contains their current Fate stage, name, email handle, and age—as well as a short character description and summaries of important moments that have happened to them in the story so far.
There are a total of five Fate ranks available for each character which provides bonuses when unlocked:

Intimacy
When seeing certain events or choosing specific dialogue options, the Protagonist may gain points in Intimacy with another character. When he has earned enough points the Fate rank assigned to the character will increase. Each character requires a different amount of Intimacy points to rank up, which is listed in the Mechanics by Game section. What events grant Intimacy and how much is earned from different responses is listed on each character's Gameplay page.
Joint Skill Cracking
Joint Skill Cracking means that the Protagonist and the corresponding character shares their Skill Crack targets. If the Protagonist's team defeats the other character's target—or vice-versa—the skill will be cracked as if they had chosen it and the skill cracker will be presented with the choice to set the skill as normal, provided they meet the stat requirements.
SDTP
SDTP, short for Summoned Demon Transfer Protocol, allows the protagonist and the other character to transfer demons between their teams in the middle of a battle.
Fate Events
Fate Events are specific optional events that are tied to each character, progressing that character's personal plotline and granting a large amount of Intimacy when seen. Some Fate Events may change depending on which other characters are alive.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker
The amount of Intimacy needed to rank up during the Septentrione arc is the same as in Devil Survivor 2. The new character added—Miyako Hotsuin—is only available in the Triangulum arc.
