"Escorting your Comrade" is a Quest in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Overview

This quest is available from Rodolfo in Kiccigiorgi Forest after completing "A Magical Remedy". He tells Flynn that there's a man in need of an escort. He was once part of the Luxuror caste, but for one reason or another, someone is after his life. While he doesn't agree with the request, he cannot in good conscience ignore it. He asks Flynn to take this man to the world below. According to other Samurai he has heard from, Fujiwara can be trusted with matters like these, so Flynn should escort the man to him. He also advises Flynn to go to the back of the forest after accepting the quest, since the man is likely determined to make sure that no one will find him.

In the depths of Kiccigiorgi Forest, Flynn notices something lurking in the tall grass. When he calls out to it, Navarre appears, dressed in rags. When Flynn explains that he's here to help him, Navarre is concerned that he knows his name, having apparently repressed his memories of being a Samurai, but accepts the help, and begs Flynn to take him somewhere that doesn't have demons.

After that, Navarre joins Flynn's party as a guest. He does not attack, but can be targeted. If he loses all of his HP, then the quest must be restarted.

Entering Mikado Castle with Navarre causes a scene to play where Flynn and Navarre sneak past patrolling Samurai into Naraku. As a result, Mikado Castle and its facilities are inaccessible for the duration of the quest.

In the lower levels of Naraku, angels will appear as fixed encounters, distinguished from the normal random encounters by having a red demon symbol instead of a blue one. When fighting them, the battle screen has a different background.

In the Excavation Worker Quarters, Flynn and Navarre are stopped by a longsword-wielding angel, who states that it must cast judgement on Navarre in accordance with the Lord's will. After defeating it, the Sky Tower Terminal can be used.

Upon arriving at Cafe Florida, Flynn explains the situation to Fujiwara. He notes that Navarre is incredibly lucky to have survived an angel attack, and decides that he can live in Tokyo. Since he was a Samurai, Fujiwara assumes that he'll have no problem making a living as a Hunter, but Navarre immediately objects when he brings up the possibility of getting a smartphone to summon demons. Fujiwara advises Navarre to stay underground, since demons don't attack there.

After Fujiwara leaves to make the necessary arrangements for him, Navarre thanks Flynn, assuming he must be a Samurai of Luxuror birth. With that, the quest is completed.
