Profile

Origin

The Badb, meaning Crow in the old Irish language, is a goddess of war and one of the trinity goddesses known as the three Morrígna along with her sisters the Morrigan and the Macha. It is said that the appearance of crows signals oncoming bloodshed, and that the Badb has the power to make soldier panic. She appears in multiple myths in the form of an old hag prophesying doom and death. She and her sisters are allied with the Tuatha Dé Danann and join them in battle against the Fomorians.

Shin Megami Tensei (A-Mode DDS)	Origin: Ireland Celtic goddesses who rule over love and war. The three goddesses are Morrigan, Nemain, and Macha. Morrigan attempted to court Cu Chulainn, but was rejected. She then cursed him to death.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne	The Celtic goddess of war. She often takes on the form of a raven, thus her name, 'battle raven'. She was part of the war-goddess triad. She would take part in battle, as well as use her magic to confuse soldiers.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster	The Celtic goddess of war. She often assumes the form of a crow; as such, her name means "battle crow." She was part of the war-goddess triad. She would take part in battle, as well as use her magic to confuse soldiers.
Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine	A giant crow from Celtic mythology. The name Badb Catha refers to the giant crow form taken by the three goddesses of war as hey[sic] flew over the battlefield. These goddesses were Nemain, goddess of discord, Macha, goddess of sovereignty, and Morrigan, goddess of victory and destruction. Badb's cry would throw soldiers on the battlefield into confusion and madness, causing them to slay their comrades, scream, and die. A famous Celtic myth tells of one of the three goddesses, Morrigan, confessing her love to the hero Cú Chulainn.
Devil Survivor: Overclocked	One of a trio of war goddesses in Celtic lore, her name means "battle crow." She appears in combat to stoke morale and make soldiers fight brutally. Though she is a war goddess, she feeds on the heads of the fallen and conveys the names of those destined to die, so she is seen as more of a Death figure.
