Design

According to Masayuki Doi, Aitvaras was designed as another mascot-like character for the Shin Megami Tensei series, similar to Jack Frost and Cironnup. In reference to Lithuanian folklore, his appearance and animations were meant to resemble a mischievous child. His design most closely resembles a dragon, but with a "helmet-like" rooster crown on his head and cat-like paws for feet.
