Origin

Halphas is the thirty-eighth demon alleged to have been summoned by King Solomon of Israel in the occult book, The Lesser Key of Solomon. It is described as a dove or stork that speaks with a human voice and lends weaponry to its summoner. It is an Earl of Hell, and commands twenty-six legions of demons.

According to Kazuma Kaneko Works VII, Halphas's design is based on the woodcut illustration of Malphas in the Dictionnaire Infernal. However, it more closely resembles the same book's illustration of Caim.
