Yomotsu Hirasaka is a recurring location in the Megami Tensei franchise. In Japanese folklore, it is the boundary between the mortal world and the world of the dead, Yomi.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

Nanashi's spirit is sent to Yomotsu Hirasaka after he is killed by Adramelech and his horde. There, Nanashi is beckoned by a voice and meets Dagda at the final crossing. Dagda offers to revive Nanashi, in exchange for his complete servitude as his own Godslayer. Agreeing to his offer, Nanashi is brought back to Kinshi Park where he died and is bestowed with new strength through his pact with Dagda. This strength allows him to ward off Adramelech and save Asahi from meeting a similar fate as he. However, if Nanashi refuses Dagda's offer, he turns away from Dagda and remains dead.

Yomotsu Hirasaka is revisited during the Challenge Quest "Where the Corpse Went", the conclusion to a series of Challenge Quests involving Hiroshi and Noa. Hiroshi asks Nanashi to help him locate Noa's body, which had mysteriously vanished. Their investigations yield that Noa was to be the medium of Izanami, one of the National Defense Divinities, and her body taken to Yomotsu Hirasaka to complete Izanami's transformation. Nanashi and Hiroshi chase after her and fight her to prevent her crossing into Yomi.

Ayato Katsuragi is sent to this place after he dies depending on the choices he takes after his friend is killed at Hatsudai Shelter, he can either die on the shelter due to the poison gas if he decides to stay there, or die by fighting Dantalion the Fallen outside of the shelter if he decided to go with his friends to the surface. Either way he goes to the aforementioned place and meets with the Yomotsu-Shikome, who tells him that is not his hour yet and so he is send back to the world of the living by her.
