Origin

Mercurius, usually referred to in English as Mercury, is the Roman deity of commerce, and he is the messenger of the gods. Mercurius arose as a syncretization between the Greek god Hermes and several minor Roman gods of commerce.

Design

Mercurius's zipper pull is shaped like the symbol of the planet Mercury (☿).
