The fancy shirt are paired with the denim jeans to give Diego a sort of "bad boy/gentleman" vibe, which are further accented by the silver jewelry, the rose, and his leather shoes.[1] The blue color of Diego's skin comes from the color of Morgana's eyes.[2]

↑"Diego first appears to be wearing a fancy suit, but he's actually wearing jeans on the bottom, giving him a slightly "bad boy/gentleman" vibe. His silver accessories, the rose on his chest, and his leather shoes all contribute to this motif. Not only that, there's a reason for the black sword and its horse ornament—we hope you figure out what they mean as you play the game!" Persona 5 Royal Art Book, Azusa Shimada. Published by Atlus. ↑"ちなみにディエゴの青色はモルガナの目の色から来ているのですが、青いバラの花言葉が偶然にも今作のモルガナと合致しているので、そこもお気に入りポイントです。" Translation: "By the way, Diego's blue color comes from Morgana's eye color, and the flower language of blue roses coincidentally matches Morgana in this work, so that's another favorite point."
