Mercurius, usually referred to in English as Mercury, is the Roman deity of commerce, and he is the messenger of the gods. Mercurius arose as a syncretization between the Greek god Hermes and several minor Roman gods of commerce.
Design
The main motif of the design is based on a woodcut illustration by Giovanni Battista Nazari in Della tramutatione metallica sogni tre.[1]

Mercurius appears from the Expanse as the result of a botched summoning by Hanada, who Mercurius kills shortly after. It then attacks Aleph and is defeated.
