Yusuke serves as the Emperor Confidant in the following games:

• Persona 5
• Persona 5 Royal

Availability

Yusuke hangs out in the Underground Walkway in Shibuya, near the access to Central Street, during the Daytime or After School on days that he is available for Confidant rankups and/or card duplication. He is not available on rainy days when the Emperor confidant is ready to rank up for 4, 6, or 9, or to visit the Meiji Shrine, as those confidant and hangout events take place outdoors.

He is also available to copy Skill Cards after unlocking rank 1 of the Emperor confidant, and to create them after unlocking rank 5 of the Emperor confidant in Royal, under at least one of the following conditions:
- When he is available for a Confidant rankup event (except on December 22nd).
- When he is ready to give Ren a Skill Card that he has copied or created on a previous day.
- After reaching rank 5 of the Emperor Confidant, when there is a deadline for a Palace, and when the route to the Treasure is secure.

If he is available for both a Leblanc hangout event (see Hangouts below) and card duplication on the same day, then he will first appear in Leblanc and then depart for Shibuya if Ren leaves Leblanc.

Hangouts

Leblanc hangouts with Yusuke are available during the daytime on July 27 and August 1, 4, 8, and 11.

Yusuke will invite Ren to watch a movie on the evening of August 5.

Yusuke will invite Ren to study for the upcoming exam on the evening of October 15.

Although Yusuke never sends any IM invitations at night, Ren will encounter Yusuke on July 30 if he accepts Makoto's IM invitation on the night of July 29, and on September 22 if he accepts Hifumi's IM invitation on the night of September 21.

After the Emperor confidant is maxed out, or if it does not have enough points to unlock the next rank, Ren can invite Yusuke to the following locations during the daytime on days when Yusuke would otherwise be available for a Confidant rank-up. Room decorations acquired from these hangouts are noted in parentheses:
- Ueno (Nude Statue)
- Meiji Shrine (Hamaya)
- Ikebukuro (Star Stickers)
