出身地:イラン 悪王アジ・ダハーカを倒したペルシアの英雄。人間を病や熱から救い出したともされる。 ファリードゥーンは、民衆の悪しき支配者にして恐ろしい三頭の邪龍であるアジ・ダハーカを倒し、正しい王権を打ち立てた英雄である。 彼はアジ・ダハーカを倒したが、殺してはいない。アジ・ダハーカの体を剣で刺すとその中からヘビやサソリなどの有害な生き物が次々と出てくるため、彼はこれを殺さずに縛りあげ、ダマーヴァンド山に幽閉した。Translation: Place of origin: Iran A Persian hero who defeated the evil king Aži Dahāka. It is also said he saved humans from disease and fever. Farīdūn is a hero who defeated the people's wicked ruler, the terrible three-headed evil dragon Aži Dahāka, and established a righteous kingship. While he defeated Aži Dahāka, he did not kill him. When he stabbed Aži Dahāka's body with his sword, snakes, scorpions, and other dangerous creatures kept coming out. Therefore, he tied him up without killing him and imprisoned him in Mount Damāvand.
