Dís is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
The Dís, also referred to as the Dísir, are spirits from Norse mythology associated with fate and, at times, considered protective spirits. In the Poetic Edda, they appear multiple times, with the poem Hamðismál depicting them as the same entities as the Norns, while the poem Atlamál in grǿnlenzku claims that they are the spirits of deceased women. The poem Reginsmál depicts them as accompanying the spirits of warriors that fell in battle, leading some historians to believe that the Dís are an early form of the Valkyries.
Design
Dís appears as a bald woman with pale blue skin and eyes that are typically closed. Her bald head is intended to give her design the impression of being primitive.[1] She has swirling black tattoos on the left side of her head, left forearm, left leg, and right foot. Her tattoo symbolizes animism.[2] She wears a sleeveless black scale dress and a long dark brown cape with a high collar.
