Aerophant is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Aerophant[a] comes from Catalonian author Joan Fontcuberta's art series Fauna; the premise of this series is that the works are claimed to be the works of fictitious German zoologist Peter Ameisenhaufen, cataloguing strange animals. The Aerophant itself, an elephant with wings, is said to be a doctored photograph sent by one of Ameisenhaufen's friends as a practical joke.[1]
Design
Aerophant's design is inspired by the 1941 Disney animated film Dumbo; this is evident in the wings for ears and its holding a feather with its trunk. The pink color is inspired by a pink elephant seen in Nishi-Ogikubo during festivals.[2]
