Origin

Shiva is the god of destruction in Hinduism, and one of the Trimurti along with Vishnu and Brahma. In the Shaivite tradition, Shiva is believed to be the Supreme Being.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne	One of the triad of main deities in Hindu mythology. He is known as the destroyer, but is also related to regeneration. His wife is Parvati.
Shin Megami Tensei V	The great god who governs the destruction and creation of the world. He is the most worshiped god in Hinduism alongside Vishnu. It is said that he purifies the world through destruction only to rebuild it anew, and though he casts terrifying destruction against the demons, he also blesses his followers. Shiva has been depicted in many ways, but the most common is for him to have four hands, one face and three eyes. He wields a trishula, or trident, and his third eye is said to emit a ray of light that destroys all it touches.
