Origin

In Newar folklore, Pulukisi is the elephant mount of the god Indra. Part of the Indra Jātrā festival features a reenactment of an incident where Indra was captured by the people of Kathmandu and Pulukisi went to go look for its master.[1] An alternative transcription of Pulukisi's name is Pulukishi.

Origin: Thailand - He has a human body and an elephant's head. He also has a third eye in his forehead. He's said to be Ganesha's attendant. He may also be an avatar of Vishnu, and is thought of as the god of Daisho Kangi-ten with Ganesha.

Translation: A Nepalese god in Indian legend. He is also said to be a messenger of the underworld.

He appears with a snake coiled around his body and a human form with an elephant head that has three eyes. He is influenced by the Hindu god Ganesha. Some believe that he is an incarnation of the god Vishnu, who was trying to reclaim the land of the Naga dragon tribe from the spirit Gandharva.
