Hurdling Full Speed Ahead

The Hurdling Full Speed Ahead mini-game sees Nagisa Kamishiro in a hurdling competition. Various obstacles such as hurdles, vaulting boxes, birds and balls will be encounter on the racetrack and he must jump over them to avoid a collision and keep his momentum; otherwise, he will lose speed and the other racers will be able to overtake him. Additionally, when colliding with an obstacle, Nagisa will lose stamina; he begins each race with 20 stamina and if his stamina reaches 0, he will be forced to drop out of the race. While jumping, Nagisa is also able to double jump to surpass larger obstacles. Alongside obstacles, Nagisa can also encounter food, which will fill his power meter. When the meter is full, Nagisa will begin a Full-Speed Dash and become able to break obstacles by colliding with them for additional points rather than losing stamina, with the exception of birds, which will not award points.

There are ten stages divided into four groups: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and Endless Stage. Stages 1, 2, and 3 each have three sub-stages. All stages in Stage 1 are 200 meter dashes, while the stages in Stage 2 and Stage 3 are 400 meter dashes. Endless stage has no set ending time and concludes when Nagisa has run out of stamina. Stages all have three goals: finish the race, finish in at least second place, and finish in first place. Fulfilling these conditions earns stars; a minimum amount of these stars must be earned for certain general event goals. Endless Stage has no preset goals and allows Nagisa to continue his run to earn a high score.

Nagisa is also able to select characters to be on his Cheer Squad. When activated, they will begin cheering at give Nagisa a special ability. Initially, he is only able to select one Cheer Squad member; beginning from Stage 2-1, Nagisa is able to select two.

Cheer Squad
Character Effect Unlocked
Motoha Arai Restore 2 Stamina. Default
Shun Kano Restore 10 power. Stage 1-2
Riko Tanemura Nullify damage (5 s). Stage 2-1
Tomoko Noge Increase points by 30% (8 s). Stage 2-2
Kumi Katayama No slow down from collisions (8 s). Not affected by speed in Endless Stage. Stage 2-3

Boss Battle

Within Boss Battle, Wonder and his party must clear six stages in order to obtain Blue Cheer Power and Red Cheer Power, which carry over to the boss stage and provide buffs, as well as allowing the use of Blazing Blue Spirit and Red Hot Spirit.

Cheer Power Buffs
Power Buff (Blue) Buff (Red)
50 Increases Defense by 20%. Increases Attack by 20%.
100 Increase HP by 20%. Increase crit dmg by 20%.
150 Increase ailment resistance by 30%. Increase pierce rate by 5%.
200 Decrease dmg taken by 10%. Increase dmg by 15%.
Ability Blazing Blue Spirit Red Hot Spirit
Increase all allies' Attack and grant 5 Down Points. When all allies deal damage with a skill, Highlight, or Theurgy, decrease Down Points by 1 more. Lasts for 1 turn. Cooldown: 1 turn. Deal a fixed amount of damage to all foes, and decrease Down Points by 4. Cooldown: 1 turn.

Stages

Stages 1-6 all feature a special battle condition regarding Down Points. Both allies and enemies will be downed for two turns rather than one; while not downed, damage taken by enemies is reduced; likewise, damage taken by enemies is increased while downed. Members of Wonder's party start with 5 Down Points and recover 5 Down Points after recovering from being downed; however, enemies reduce 1 additional Down Point when attacking with any skill. After clearing one of these first six stages, Cheer Power for that stage's respective color is gained.

In the Boss Stage, Wonder's party is able to use the Blazing Blue Spirit and Red Hot Spirit abilities up to two times each, depending on the amount of Cheer Power gained, with each use requiring 100 Cheer Power. There are five difficulties of the Boss Stage which feature enemies at levels 40, 50, 60, 70, and 90, respectively. After clearing each difficulty, Wonder can then replay that difficulty for 60 Stamina in order to earn Wonder EXP, Shining Tickets, and Konpaku Gems; with the exception of Difficulty 5, which has no Stamina Mode.

Boss

The boss stage features Atavaka and Asura together, and both must be defeated to clear the stage. They are both immune to insta-kill effects and spiritual/Control ailments; additionally, if they are not downed, incoming damage is reduced by 50%. After a turn, Atavaka will use Kickoff, summoning an Oni and a Kurama Tengu. After Kickoff begins, the reduction of Down Points will be tracked for both Wonder's party ("Home") and the Shadows ("Away"), with each Down Point removed from the opposing team counting as a point for the team of the attacker. At the conclusion of the turn, Atavaka will either reward Wonder's party (if their score is higher) or penalize it:

  • More than 2x the Shadows' score: Greatly increase all Phantom Thieves' Attack, and restore a random Cheer Power by 100.
  • Higher than the Shadows' score: Increase all Phantom Thieves' Attack.
  • Lower than the Shadows' score: Increase all Shadows' Attack, and Atavaka activates Heavenly Collapse.

If Atavaka is defeated during Kickoff, then the score counter for Down Point reduction will be removed immediately and no effect will be granted at the end of the turn.

Operation Persuasion

Operation Persuasion, stylized as "The Festival Committee in Operation Persuasion", is a side mode in Tour de Force Sports Fest in which the Festival Committee is tasked with taking on Case Files to either persuade uncertain students into attending the sports festival or help students that are causing trouble because of their passion for the events. Nagisa must find the student, uncover clues to the cause of the student's issue inside the Metaverse, and then return to the real world to speak to the student. During the conversation portion of the side mode, Nagisa is given a suite of options to select; he must select the correct options based on the clues provided in order to successfully convince the student by increasing his Persuasion. Each response is considered to be either correct, incorrect, or normal; these will increase, decrease, or lead to no change in Persuasion, respectively. When Nagisa's Persuasion reaches 0, he will fail the negotiations. If he successfully maintains his Persuasion during the conversation, then that Case File's informant will take over negotiations and offer a solution to the student's problem. Case Files may be replayed; upon doing so, previously selected responses will be labeled with the type of response they are.

For some Case Files, while exploring for clues in the Metaverse, Nagisa will discover that the student's Shadow has gone berserk, affecting their mental state in the real world. In this event, he will also have to defeat the student's Shadow in order to calm them down.

Operation Persuasion also features three total endings: the Normal ending, the Good ending, and the Perfect ending. The Normal ending was initially unlocked after clearing all Case Files but was later unlocked by default after seventh Event Story stage was unlocked, while the other endings require certain conditions to be met. The Good ending requires Nagisa to complete every Case File; meanwhile, the Perfect ending requires him to earn a 5-star rating in every case file, accomplished by selecting the correct answer for each prompt.

The Pulls and Drags of Tug-of-War A second-year student on the tug-of-war team is suddenly saying she doesn't want to do it. It seems this is the first time it's happened, so everyone's a bit shocked. There must be a reason behind her change of heart, so let's see what we can find out. Riko Tanemura Cute ScrunchieA cute light pink scrunchie. I wonder if it belongs to her...
Magazine with HoroscopeA page in the back has been marked with a sticky note: a horoscope that predicts misfortune. I wonder if it's her own horoscope...

A Buzz-Worthy Cosplay Relay Someone has been spamming social media asking anyone and everyone to do the cosplay relay with them. All the girls keep talking about it. What's their aim...? Buckle up, 'cause we're on the case! Motoha Arai Cosplay RelayFor some reason, this student was focused on the cosplay relay. I wonder why...?
If it trends on social mediaThe student wanted to use social media to liven up Kokatsu Academy's sports festival...

Obstacles to the Obstacle Course One of the students doing the obstacle course suddenly pulled out of the event, despite saying they were looking forward to it. They don't look happy about it... Has anyone asked why they withdrew? There must be something more to it, so let's talk to them. Tomoko Noge Potato StarchWhite powder with a unique texture. We're also planning to use this at the sports festival..
Makeup PouchA small makeup pouch with lip gloss, blush and other makeup inside. I wonder if it belongs to her...?
— B
Stop Horsing Around Some students have been practicin' their piggyback joustin' in the classrooms and hallways. On top of blockin' the way, somebody could get hurt. We gotta go see what's behind it before somethin' really bad happens. Shun Kano DangerousIt's not so unusual to get carried away when having fun and lose track of your surroundings, but someone could get hurt...
Piggyback JoustingPiggyback jousting practice is fine, but do it somewhere with more space and nobody passing through.

This One's for the Boys A student in my class has suddenly started posting on social media that he doesn't want to participate in "that stupid sports festival." I think we can change his mind if we know the reason behind it, so let's hear what he has to say. Masaki Ashiya Hair WaxProduct for styling hair. This brand is often seen around school, it seems to be popular with male students.
ScissorsA normal pair of scissors. If you look closely, you can see several strands of black hair stuck to the blade.
— B
A Challenge Letter I have also been presented with a matter of great import. An unsigned letter of challenge, was found in a certain student's shoe locker. Based on the accounts of students close to the issue, they have a fairly good idea of who sent it. This is certainly not something to be taken lightly... Let's go and address the student involved. Kiyoshi Kurotani From Last YearIt seems like something that happened last year is important. Maybe it involves the guy he keeps mentioning.
FrustratedIt definitely seemed like he was frustrated, but what was he harboring so much frustration about?
Yaksini B
Study over Sports I saw a student talking with Ms. Katayama in the hall... He kept pushing her to cancel the sports festival. Ms. Katayama seemed a bit flustered... Why don't we go and talk to the guy? Shun Kano Physical Fitness Test ResultsResults for this year's physical fitness test. Every number is below average... especially long-distance running.
Yearbook PhotoLooks like a photo from a middle school yearbook... snapped just as a male student takes a tumble at the sports festival.
Report CardLast year's report card. Outstanding grades in every subject... except PE.
— A
An Honorable Sentiment A second-year student has been pushing a reluctant friend of theirs to do the three-legged race. While such exuberance for the sports festival is appreciated, pushing too hard can drive people away. It would be best if we could calm her down a bit... Kiyoshi Kurotani Not Very AthleticThe friend this student asked to do the three-legged race doesn't seem to be very good at sports.
Lost My ComposureThis student's passion to enjoy the sports festival with her friend seems to have spiraled out of control, causing her to lose her composure.
Childhood FriendThe friend this student really wanted to do the three-legged race with was a childhood friend.

Sleep Mode A girl in my class still hasn't decided what event to do at the sports festival, so I tried to talk to her about it... She just kept saying brushing it off,[sic] so I'm a little worried about her. Maybe she has something on her mind? I'd like to dig a bit and find out more. Tomoko Noge Hot Eye MaskSaid to relieve fatigue and eliminate eye bags. Recommended for the sleep-deprived.
Energy DrinkA revitalizing item that's indispensable for today's busy lifestyles. High school students shouldn't rely on these, though...
Daily PlannerA handwritten daily planner, unusual in this digital age. The schedule for each day is packed with part-time jobs.
— A
A Strict Senpai I was approached by a first-year on the baseball team. It seems a second-year on the team is insisting that the whole team do topple the pole together at the sports festival. That second-year really shouldn't be trying to force everyone to go along with their idea. Maybe we should go talk to him. Masaki Ashiya Sense of ResponsibilitySeems to refer to this student's sense of responsibility as a senpai. That in itself isn't a bad thing, but...
PressureTrying too hard to set the direction for the junior team members seems to have created a lot of unconscious pressure for this student..
SenpaiThis student became an upperclassman and a senpai on their team. That seems to have been a major catalyst...
Mandrake x2 A
Momentary Laps A second-year student who was supposed to do the relay race is suddenly saying he wants to change events. Up to now, he was saying that he was really looking forward to it, so... I wonder if something happened? Let's go and see what he has to say! Motoha Arai TrophyA track meet championship trophy. Looks like a relay race trophy, with the names of the two arguing students engraved on it.
List of Relay ParticipantsA list of students signed up for the sports festival relay race. The two arguing students are listed under different classes.
Running ShoesRunning shoes for track meets. It seems these are often used by the track team.
— A
Pump it Up Some second-year students are going into classrooms during breaks and after school to practice their cheer choreography. Unfortunately, they get so caught up in their drills that they don't notice when they bump into other students. Let's go and talk to them before someone gets hurt. Riko Tanemura TroubleThey got wrapped up in practicing and didn't realize they were causing trouble for people nearby. Probably the Metaverse's influence...
Hyped UpSeems like these students were on the sports festival cheer squad, so they were trying to get everyone hyped up...
PracticeYou need practice to put on a good performance. Even so...
Makami x2 A
Find Your Strong Suit Seems like a second-year student's bein' pushed to join the three-legged race. Her friend's been buggin' her about it so much that she doesn't want to come to the sports festival anymore. How 'bout we go talk to her? Shun Kano Friendship BraceletA woven ankle bracelet. It may have been a gift from that student...
CardsSome cards with the same number are face-up. Maybe it's because she's good at memory games...
Obstacle Course PhotoA photo from an obstacle race. Maybe tweaking the obstacles will get her to try it.
— A
Anything to Win We're planning on using some of the track team's hurdles in the obstacle course, but the track team captain just told me that a lot of them currently have loose screws, so they might be dangerous to use. I've also heard that a student was spotted sneaking around the gym storeroom... It might be a good idea to look into it. Tomoko Noge Prove My WorthHe wants to show his worth to a girl he received a love letter from, but that desire has taken an unexpected turn...
Tinkering with the HurdlesSo this student was the one tinkering with the hurdles. Probably driven by a disturbing influence in the Metaverse...
Love LetterSeems like he received this letter from a girl in the class next door. It's a charming story, but...
Bicorn x2 A
Beam Me Up I saw a girl mumbling strange utterances to herself about the sports festival in a corner of the first-year hallway. She seemed distraught... If the sports festival is the cause of her distress, I would like to assuage her grievances. Kiyoshi Kurotani Strange PhotoLooks like a completely ordinary photo at first glance... but if you look closely, there's a UFO-like object floating in the background.
GrimoireSeems to be a book about magic. Magic circles and demon summoning rituals are described in meticulous detail...
Overview of Nurse's Office VisitsA list of all the students that have gone to the nurse's office. That girl's name appears quite a few times...
— A
Decoration Diva It's almost time for the sports festival, but there's a potential problem with the school interior. Decorations have suddenly appeared high up on the walls, and it looks like they're in danger of falling on people. The art club doesn't know where they came from. Let's do some digging. Tomoko Noge Meant WellIt's not always easy to accept, but... not all good intentions lead to good results.
Showcase of My StyleShe normally doesn't take things this far. Maybe the Metaverse is influencing her...
Ramping UpIt's not a bad idea to get people hyped for the sports festival, but...
Help OutThere's nothing wrong with trying to be helpful, but...

A Reason to Slack Off The second-years on the cheer squad need our help. Apparently the three first-years who recently joined haven't been coming to practice, so they're worried they won't have enough people for the sports festival. I hope there's something we can do. Motoha Arai Dirty White GlovesThese white gloves are filthy. The cheer squad wears gloves like these during performances.
Torn HappiThe cheer squad is planning to wear happi coats like this at the sports festival... but this one is torn in several places
A Student's DiarySomeone's diary. Reading the entries, it appears this person joined the cheer squad but couldn't keep up with the second-years' strict coaching and intense practices.
HeadbandOne of the headbands that will be worn at the sports festival. On closer inspection, "Good luck, first-year! From, the third-years" has been written with a black marker.
— S
A Declaration of Victory It's cool that people are gettin' pumped about the sports festival, but... We got a report from one class that some guy is forcin' them to practice for hours on end, and they don't know what to do. He won't listen to them, so we gotta go sort it out. Shun Kano Declaration of VictoryEveryone hopes to win at the sports festival, especially if their class gets along well, but...
IdlingPeople tend to take things too far if they get too caught up in something. Just like what happened to this student...
My ClassThis student's class. Classes vary significantly in terms of characteristics and overall vibe, depending on who's in them.
We're the BestHe seems to really love his current class. Which is totally fine, but...
Koropokguru x2 S
So Many Sighs A boy has been spotted moping around the halls sighing. A classmate of his was worried and alerted us to the situation. Let's go and see what the problem is. Masaki Ashiya Homeroom JournalLooks like that transfer student's homeroom journal. It seems he was worried about not fitting in with his class...
Group Chat HistoryThe group chat history for that student's class. They're discussing whether or not to invite him to the chat...
Photo of StudentA photo of that student, but in another school's uniform. It seems that he transferred to Kokatsu...
School Transfer FormsForms used as proof of school transfer. There are multiple forms filled out with that student's name and the names of different schools.
— S
Till Dance Do Us Part A student who signed up for the race at the sports festival is asking for our help. They've been asked by a friend to do the duo dance together instead, and their friend won't take no for an answer. Looks like we need to mediate. Riko Tanemura ShynessSeems like this student is shy. That's not so unusual though...
I have no friendsSeems like the only friend this student has to talk to is Aki-chan. That might be why she's so obsessed with her...
LonelinessIf she doesn't do a two-person event, she'll be left all alone to spectate. Maybe that's why she's being so insistent.
Do you hate me now?No matter how many times she asks, her friend won't agree to do it. Seems like this has given rise to some doubts...
